10 Things About Living on Your Own
Choosing to live on your own can be so liberating, here are 10 things about living on your own you may not have considered…
1. You can walk around naked (until someone comes over or you start cooking with oil);
2. The dishes don’t need to be done immediately (until they start to stink and then – you should probably just wash them);
3. Bills – you have to pay for them all yourself (when you get your first power bill you will be switching all the lights off);
4. The last 10cm at the back of the fridge becomes the area you completely forget about (that Chinese takeaway is yours to throw out and yes that is why the fridge smells);
5. You can get fat really quickly;
6. You can sing in the shower – hit the high notes like nobody is listening (except the neighbours);
7. You have to entertain yourself, read a book, plant some herbs, go bake something;
8. Clean – yup that’s for you to do, it’s not just your floors you need to make sure you have clean undies. Every.Day;
9. You become addicted to things – not booze or anything like that we are talking Netflix, Snacks and loooong showers (until you get the bill and 2-minute showers are the new you);
10. You start to talk to yourself. Where are my keys, what’s for dinner, where’s my hat?
